Watercolor paintings

I like to paint flowers, such the shown irises, roses, tulips, and peonies, in the style of Pierre-Joseph Redouté. The pictures are sampled down and doe not really reveal the details, for example here is a blow-up of the last iris, in the original painting the iris flowers have about 10 cm in diameter.

Some time ago I painted some fruit with even (much) more detail, check out the lemon (original is around 13 cm in length) and the eggplant (click on the images to see a more detailed picture)
